As we prepared to celebrate Rosh Hashanah (The Festival of the Trumpets), we began with our Tashlich service. This is a time of considering and casting our sins. Though this is a Jewish tradition we found meaning in it as Christians, knowing that Jesus died to free us from our sins. We cast our sins, symbolized with small rocks, into the pond, as a symbol of giving our sins to God and being set free from them through the power of Jesus Christ.
